The unfathomable events of February 4th have devastated kdc/one and the broader Columbus community, and we deeply appreciate the understanding and compassion we’ve received as we process the overwhelming grief that follows such a shocking tragedy.
We recognize the importance of your questions, but we are unable to share further details about the incident at this time as we actively assist law enforcement in their ongoing investigation.
The safety and well-being of our employees remains our top priority. Our New Albany site has been closed since February 4th and we have on- site and off- site crisis services available to all our employees. Our employees are being paid for their scheduled hours while the site remains closed.
The entire kdc/one team is committed to supporting the survivors and families who lost loved ones in this horrific event. We’ve reached out to those affected and are exploring ways to help ease this unimaginable burden. We keep these individuals and families in our hearts, especially Kyle Vaver and Shakhar Chapagai, the dear colleagues we lost this week.
We remain grateful for the heroic actions of our employees, first responders and the New Albany Police Department, and as a community we will work together to recover and heal.
